Manufacturing Process

OUR MANUFACTRING PROCESS . WE CLEAR STEP BY STEP PROCESS FOR GIVE BEST RESULT IN OUR PRODUCT

Winding
Most Suitable type of winding constructions is adopted in our designs to give optimum performance with regard to thermal, mechanical and electrical Stresses. These are:
  • Level Winding
  • Spiral
  • Crossover Type
  • Continuous disc type
  • Helical Type etc.

To minimize stray losses, conductors are suitable transported. When necessary, we are using Progressive Transportation Technique, whenever possible, Conductor Insulation for Round Wire can be Super Enamel or Paper Covering. For rectangular strips, paper covering can be double layer, triple layer or multi layer, Best grade/imported paper is used.

Core Assembly
  • The Transformers are built with full-annealed, Cold Rolled Grain Oriented (CRGO) Silicon laminations. Only best grade, prime CRGO material is used by us. Full metered designs are incorporated to minimize losses, magnetizing current and noise.

Core Coile Asssembly
  • Full attention is paid to ensure to robust construction. Radial spaces of pre compressed board are interlocked with the axial blocks in dovetail type joints. Parmali wood rings are used to ensure required mechanical and electrical strength, commensurate with the rating and voltage class of the Transformers, Suitable steel section are used for core clamps, lifting brackets and base Supports These are tightened with the help of core studs/tie rods using lock nuts to make the whole assembly robust. HT loads are taken out the SRBP tubes and clamped to special PIE (a) structure, attaches to the core channel. LI leads are taken to the bushing terminals through a oiled Bux Bar and connected to the terminals through flexible jumper

Tanking And Painting
  • The Tanks are MS Fabricated and suitable stiffened. A high safety factor is kept and suitable steel sections are used. Cooling is provided using radiators, made of Elliptical Tubes or Pressed Steel Fins. The radiators are generally welded to the tank, but can be detachable type also. All tanks are tested for leakage by subjecting to pressure above 10 PSI. Vacuum test are also carried out to ensure robustness. Tanks and Radiators are cleaned by shot blasting, following by proper surface treatment and paint. Expose burned paint is generally applied.

Insulation
  • The insulation rating is the maximum allowable winding (hot spot) temperature of a transformer operating at an ambient temperature of 40°C. Insulation systems are classified by the temperature rating.

Transformer Oil
  • Transformer oil is a mineral insulating or cooling oil derived from crude petroleum. It is a mixture of various hydrocarbons consist partly aliphatic compounds (open chain compounds) with the general formula – CnH2n+2 and CnH2n.

Testing Facility
  • Type tests are made to prove to withstand the all irregularities in transmission/ distribution line. T-Power have in house facility to undergo temperature rise and impulse test conforming to latest national and international standard specifications. Other tests such as short circuit withstand tests (Dynamic & Thermal) are conducted at an independent govt. recognized testing laboratory at Central Power.

Following Routine Tests are made on every unit.
  • Insulation Resistance Test
  • Resistance measurement of winding
  • Turns Ratio Test
  • Polarity and Phase relationship test
  • No Load losses measurement
  • Polarity and Phase relationship test
  • Excitation current measurement Impedance voltage test
  • Load loss measurement
  • Dielectric tests includes applied voltage test and induced voltage test Leakage test of Transformer tank.
